As a member of your family, your pet is welcome at Royal Palm Terrace.
Along with your apartment application you will be asked to fill out and sign our Pet Policy and provide the necessary documentation about your pet. A brief summary of our policy is included here. Ask for the official policy from the Management Office.
Small common household pet only. Common household pets are considered to be dogs, cats, caged birds and rabbits, and tropical fish. Maximum weight allowed is 50 lbs. The following breeds of dogs are excluded and will not be allowed on premises: Rottweiler, Chow, Doberman, Pit Bill, German Shepherd and Bull Mastiff and any breed or mixed breed deemed aggressive.
Absolutely no rodents, reptiles, amphibians, insects, arachnids (spiders), or non-caged birds or rabbits will be permitted.
Documentation required to be submitted to Management Office prior to move-in:
Size and breed
Inoculation and licensing of dogs and cars
Spayed or neutered confirmation (dogs and cats)
Declawed confirmation (cats)
Residents will be limited to 2 pets per unit, excluding fish.
For each pet except fish, a non-refundable $300 Pet Fee will be required. This fee is in addition to the regular security deposit. In addition to the Pet Fee the resident will be responsible for any pet damage.
Pets must be on leashes or in cages at any time they are outside the confines or the apartment home. At no time will pets be unattended outside of the apartment home. Birds and rabbits must be caged at all times.
Residents will make use of the designated Pet Walk or will take their pet outside of the community. Residents will be responsible for all pet waste and will immediately clean up after their pet in the Pet Walk area and community ground areas.
At no time will a pet be left alone in an apartment home for more than ten (10) hours at a time.
Management is authorized to remove from the apartment community any pet whose conduct or condition is determined to constitute a nuisance or threat to the health or safety of other residents or persons in the surrounding community.
Pest control for fleas and other pet-related infestation will be the responsibility of the resident during occupancy and at move-out if treatment is necessary.
Animals trained to assist the medically needy are acceptable and excluded from the maximum weight limit. Certification of training is required.
